Artifact #2: Mindset Activity #1
Mindset Activity #1 was the first time I exposed students to the idea of mindset. They learned how to differentiate between fixed mindset and growth mindset. By completing this activity students should have been able to determine whether they had a fixed mindset or a growth mindset. However, students had a difficult time picking which statement best described them, the fixed mindset statement or the growth mindset statement, because they felt that they identified with both statements. While I was not able to distinguish my growth minded students from my fixed minded students from this activity, I still gained a lot of insight into my students and their beliefs about themselves as students.
