Artifact #9: Reflecting on Short-Term Goals
Reflection is a critical part of the learning process. People have a tendency to set goals that are too challenging or too attainable. If a person sets a goal that is extremely challenging, but unattainable, they will become frustrated and most likely give up on themselves. However, what might be even worst than setting too challenging of a goal is setting a goal that is too attainable. Learning how to strike the perfect balance between ambitious and realistic goals will allow students to perform at their highest potential. However the only way for students strike that balance is if they reflect on whether or not they had difficulty reaching a particular goal and why that is the case.
